Hypothetically Speaking - Bridget Ingham

Summary:

"It hadn't occurred to me how scientists ended up on TV. I wasn't interested in becoming one of them, but clearly Andy was."

Kate's journey from undergraduate student to scientific researcher wasn't entirely planned - she simply wanted to do her best and make the most of every opportunity.

Through hard work and hardship she develops her expertise, and discovers herself along the way. Her path keeps crossing with Andy, a friend from university who is also trying to make a name for himself.

Andy's rise to fame is meteoric, but Kate knows he isn't the expert he is regarded to be. All she can do is hold on to her most valuable possession - her integrity - and hope the truth will be revealed.

An intriguing New Zealand novel.

About the Author:

Bridget Ingham grew up in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, and studied physics at Victoria University of Wellington. She worked as a research scientist for fourteen years before making a dramatic career change to become a missionary pilot, combining her Christian faith and her interest in aviation. An avid reader as a child, for decades she aspired to write a novel. Although she had written over a hundred scientific publications and reports, she did not consider herself creative enough to turn her hand to fiction. When she realised that she could write from a place of her own experience, a story quickly came together. Hypothetically Speaking is the result.
